5 out of 5 stars remote control car   January 6, 2009
We love this product. My three year old loves it. It's been put through the ringer already and it's still going strong. The only problem is that I bought two of them, one for each child, and one remote works for both cars. So they can't play with them at the same time. But it hasn't been a problem yet.

Bought this one for my 17 month old nephew and he absolutely loves it. Bought the lady bug for my niece and she loves it also. The police car had a problem with it on delivery and the customer service was outstanding, sending a new one to my sister immediately.

1 out of 5 stars Didn't work right out of the box!   July 29, 2008
I bought this for my 4 year old son for Christmas last year. Unfortuantly, I had purchased it from a store out of state and couldn't return it. No matter what we did (new batteries, tinkering, etc), it would not work. Maybe we got a dud....Very disappointing, especially for my son.

I purchased this as a gift for my 2yr old nephew. My sister says he loves to carry the car around, but has not used the remote himself. He prefers at this time for my sister to use the remote, while he follows behind the car! This is currently his favorite use of the car.

The wheels rub against the body and it hardly moves. I needed to hack apart the fenders and plastic for it to do anything but spin in circles and it is still slow. It is too bad it is a problem because when you take the body off completly the thing cruises pretty fast. Unfortunately it is no longer child safe once the body is removed and it is taken down to its bare bones. Maybe mine was just a dud but I read a review for the fire truck version that stated the same problem. If you buy this be prepared to return it.
