my grand kids (and their dads) really enjoyed the havoc helis January 6, 2009
I bought 5 of them, one did not work properly right out of the box, but Amazon provided a postage return label free of charge to me and promptly refunded my money. I found one at a Wal Mart to replace it so no one had to go without. The one at Wal Mart cost me $8.00 more than on Amazon. Everyone had a good time with them and except for one that got stepped on, they were all still working at the end of the week. They really are a pretty cool toy.
 Slightly Overrated January 6, 2009
This product isn't bad for the price - I'd probably buy it again. However, it is a bit overrated since the controls are very basic and it doesn't do much besides hover in place and spin around while hovering.
As with most products, you get what you pay for.

For the price you just can't beat this micro heli. Its a great toy and fun in the office environment especially when you have very high ceilings like ours, 20'. Don't recommend it outside, my friend keeps getting his stuck in trees. But indoors a lot of fun. I wish the blades were a little more durable. I've cracked two of them total from hitting into things or falling from high altitudes. But the body holds up pretty well. Ready to maybe step it up next to something with twin blades, but definitely a fun product! I wish they had these when I was a kid!
 Air Hog Review January 6, 2009
This Heli was fun to fly while it lasted, one week. I wondered why it came with two replacement tail propellers and no main propeller. The tail propeller came off and was easy to replace but when my son flew the heli into the wall and the main propeller broke; well, that was it. I ordered replacement main propeller and tried to replace it but with no luck. It was hell getting the original main propeller off. I had to use a utility knife to cut it off and then the replacement propeller was hell getting on. Once I did get it on the heli never flew correctly again. It would hover for awhile and then drop or spin out of control. So, with that said. I would purchase at own risk. Not worth the $40 price if you ask me. I contacted Airhogs directly to see if they would just sell me the heli by itself and they said they only sell them with the controller which I didn't need so I opted not to buy another. If these heli's break this easly they should not be selling them at so high of a price. Airhogs really need to rethink their design on these heli's.
Fun toy, Great for Beginners January 6, 2009
This helicopter isn't the most maneuverable but it was very easy to use and very durable. The first few days we owned this, it crashed into most everything as we learned how to use it but it is still flying great. It's a lot of fun for kids and adults and a good beginning helicopter for those interested in the more complicated ones. We used this one to 'learn' on before we tried flying a more expensive one that we received as a gift. Very fun, very durable.
