GREAT PURCHASE! December 30, 2008
My 8 year old son was begging for this for a holiday present. I was hesitant, thinking it would be another unused gift that would lose its sparkle after Christmas morning. Well, I'm SO glad I got it for him, despite my hesitations. He and his 6 year old sister have been playing with it every day! I sat with them in the beginning to show them the ever-so-simple steps, and they have taken it from there. They take great pride in being able to do this completely on their own, and it is a great way for them to express their creativity and have a sense of ownership in their little alien creations. There are enough steps in the process that both kids can cooperatively play together and keep busy. It is stress-free from a parent's perspective (no baking like with Creepy Crawlers, the lava and mud are non-toxic and offer easy clean-up, etc.). I highly recommend this product!
