1 out of 5 stars What a mess   December 22, 2008
We have a set of three First Markers for my 20 month old daughter. They are terrible. I loved the concept. She loves to color and I thought these would be more age appropriate. She grabs them from the top and her hands end up completely covered in ink. What you end up with is capless markers that get knocked off the table, leaving ink spots on the carpet, table, clothes, etc. She can't get the concept of turning them over to draw with the top, so she has yet to figure out how to color paper with them. The few times I have gotten her to turn them over to color with the top, the ears on the characters get in the way of coloring. I definitely won't buy a product like this again. Color Wonder markers are pricey but much less mess for this age. My five and seven year old are able to use them fine, but what's the point at that age?

1 out of 5 stars Why markers????   November 8, 2008

I don't understand why these don't just have a fat crayon in them!
I think these would be a great thing if it was a waxy crayon rather than ink. I have yet to find those.

1 out of 5 stars Big Mistake by Crayola   February 18, 2008

These "markers" have got to be one of the worst baby products I've seen. I hate to say that, because I love 99% of crayola's products, but this one fell short. My 18 month old son really can't use them at all because the marker part is on the top, and the bottom (the part that goes in your palm) is way too big for his little hand. And even when he finds a way to hold it, the "ink" comes out in blobs and creates quite a mess. I ended up letting him fingerpaint with the globs of "ink" that came out. I make sure to keep these WAY UP HIGH so he can't get them when I'm not around. If he did, I'm sure I would need new carpet and paint and furniture...Very messy, and a very ineffective product... Sorry Crayola!!!

1 out of 5 stars completely useless   December 11, 2007

horrible markers, would give them 0 stars if possible:(. extremely awful for a toddler to hold and draw with (my daughter is almost 2 and they barely fit in her hands). and the paintbrushes from this series are even worse, they leak, and it takes more knowledge than a kid has to use either type (the way you have to hold them and tap them in order for the color to start flowing)and I don't know about the washable part, because they leave really bad stains on skin. Even though I like crayola, this is a bad product :( don't throw your money away on it, but rather buy some regular shaped washable markers!!!
