my child was so happy to get this that he didnt put it down for 5 days. This is a great toy for traveling or just staying inside on cold winter days.

I bought this for my 13 year old son for Christmas. He loves drawing cars and wants to learn Drafting & Design. The concept of this product is nice, but the QUALITY IS JUNK. After using it for 45 minutes, one of the bulbs burned out. I went to Radio Shack for a set of bulbs. Radio Shack could not find a correct matching replacement bulb in stock or online, so they sold me two styles that were close, but not the right match. One set of bulbs was way too dim, the other too bright and burned out within 10 minutes of use. With todays technology, why didn't the manufacturer produce this product with LED illumination instead of using a bulb that the consumer can't buy a replacement for? If Radio Shack can't match it up, it's hopeless anywhere else. Replacing a simple bulb shouldn't be this much of a PAIN!! I emailed ArtLab on December 26, 2008 and haven't heard a reply....it's now January 5, 2009. All I can say is SAVE YOUR MONEY, DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK!!!!!!! It looks like I have another home project to build for my son... at least then I know it will work!

I purchased this for my Grandson for Christmas. He loves it, and it seems like a great item for a little artist. The only problem I see with it would be that the light on it is a little too dim. It would be easier to trace items if the light was brighter, because they could see a little better. Hope this helps anyone interested. I would have selected 5 stars, if it were not for the light.
